Ashley Brown, who originated the title role in the Broadway production of Mary Poppins, will return to the production, at the New Amsterdam Theatre, from March 8 through July 17. She replaces Laura Michelle Kelly, who will take a brief hiatus for a film project, returning to the show on Tuesday, July 19.

Based on P.L. Travers’ cherished stories and the classic 1964 Walt Disney film, the show tells the tale of a most unusual nanny and includes the Academy Award-winning music and lyrics of Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, as well as new songs and additional music and lyrics from the Olivier Award-winning team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.

Brown will be reuniting with co-star Gavin Lee, who played opposite her both on Broadway and in the national tour of the production. The cast also features Laird Mackintosh as George Banks, Megan Osterhaus as Winifred Banks, Valerie Boyle as Mrs. Brill, Ann Arvia as Bird Woman, Andrew Keenan-Bolger as Robertson Ay, Ruth Gottschall as Miss Andrew and Jonathan Freeman as Admiral Boom. Alternating in the role of Jane Banks are Rozi Baker, Catherine Missal and Sadie Seelert; alternating in the role of Michael Banks are Ethan Haberfield, David Gabriel Lerner and Anthony Scarpone-Lambert. (Karl Kenzler will return to the role of George Banks on Tuesday, April 5.)
