Amy Ryan to Perform at February 16 Concert of Todd Almond Songs

Two-time Tony Award nominee Amy Ryan will perform a song at a concert of new music by Todd Almond. The event will take place at St. Mark’s Church in Manhattan on Wednesday, February 16 at 8:30pm.Lear deBessonet will direct the performance.

The evening is a song cycle about Almond’s travels in Wyoming, Kansas and Mississippi. The number Ryan will sing is entitled “All I Ever Wanted.”

Ryan received Tony nominations for Uncle Vanya and A Streetcar Named Desire, and an Academy Award nomination, among numerous other honors, for Gone Baby Gone.

She currently appears on the NBC sitcom The Office as Holly Flax, and previously starred in the HBO series The Wire. Films include Jack Goes Boating, Dan in Real Life and Changeling.

The band for the concert will feature Mike Aarons, Jon Spurney, and Jeremy Chatzky. In addition, Almond will also be joined by an eight-person choir, led by Barrie McLain.
