Aisha de Haas, Alyse Alan Louis, Grace McLean, et al. Set for CAP21’s The Daughters

CAP21 Theatre Company has announced casting for Shaina Taub’s folk-funk opera The Daughters, to run March 2-20 in the company’s Black Box Theatre. Sam Pinkleton will direct the production, which will have music direction by Kris Kukul and choreography by Ani Taj Niemann.

The immersive rock-concert musical follows the journey of a vixen starlet, a ruthless hunter, and a child prodigy – three sisters – who are attempting to find find their own voices against a backdrop of war.

The company will feature Maiysha, Shaina Taub, Aisha de Haas, Alyse Alan Louis, Grace McLean, Kate Ferber, Dominique Toney, Jenni Lawton, and Catherine Brookman.

The creative team will include Deb O (scenic design), Paul Miller (lighting design), Daniel Kluger (sound design), and Michael Krass (costume design). Justin Goldner will provide orchestrations.
