The world premiere of Suzan Lori-Parks’ The Book of Grace at the Public Theater, will now open on March 17, one day later than was previously announced. Previews will still begin on March 2, and the closing date is still April 4. The change of date was made to accommodate a scheduling conflict.

In the play, a young man returns home to South Texas to confront his father, and everyday life erupts into a battle for personal survival. The production is directed by James Macdonald, and stars Amari Cheatom, John Doman, and Elizabeth Marvel.

Parks won a Pulitzer Prize for Topdog/Underdog, and her other works include 365 Days/365 Plays, Fucking A, The America Play, Venus, The Death Of The Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World, and In The Blood.
