Stephen Bogardus, Gregg Edelman, David Greenspan, et al. to Star in Men From the Boys Reading

Full casting has been announced for Transport Group reading of Mart Crowley’s The Men From the Boys, to be offered on February 28 at 8:30pm at 37 W. 26th Street, Penthouse. Jack Cummings III will direct the performance.

Set in the same apartment as the writer’s Boys in the Band — currently being revived by Transport Group in the same space as the reading — Men From the Boys revisits Crowley’s characters 30 years after the end of Boys, as they return from a memorial service for one of their friends.

The cast will feature Stephen Bogardus (Michael), Gregg Edelman (Donald), Anthony Newfield (Hank), David Greenspan (Harold), Gerry McIntyre (Bernard), Nick Westrate (Scott), Jonathan Hammond (Jason), and Eric Bondoc (Rick).

The reading is being presented as part of the theater’s Dark Nights series, which will also include a reading of Crowley’s For Reasons That Remain Unclear (March 8), as well as Frank Anthony Polito’s Blue Tuesday (March 2) and Dan Poston’s Antigone in Space (March 7).
