Maurice Hines to Headline Gala Benefit for Young People’s Chorus

Tony nominee Maurice Hines will headline a gala benefit for the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, to be held at the Frederick P. Rose Hall, on Monday, March 15, at 7pm.

Hines will perform several numbers from the musical revue Sophisticated Ladies, based on the music of Duke Ellington, and will joined by cast members from the Arena Stage production of the show, which Hines will star in beginning in April.

Performers will also include Broadway veterans Sean Bradford and Janet Dacal, jazz percussionist Dafnis Prieto, New York Voices, composer Rob Kapilow, The New York Pops, and all five divisions of the YPC, as well as children from the YPC’s Satellite program in New York City schools.
