Additional details have been announced for the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards ceremony, honoring entertainment and news media for their representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community. As previously announced, Tony Award winner Alan Cumming will host the event, to be held at the Marriott Marquis on March 13.

Cynthia Nixon will receive the Vito Russo Award, given to an openly LGBT media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equal rights, which will be presented to her by Sex and the City‘s executive producer, Michael Patrick King. Joy Behar will receive the Excellence in Media Award presented to media professionals who have increased the visibility and understanding of the LGBT community.

Guests and presenters will also include theater veterans Bryan Batt, Sandra Bernhard, Sarah Paulson, Rosie Perez, and Sigourney Weaver, along with Nigel Barker, Jarrett Barrios, Brian Graden, Jay Manuel, Isis King, and Jill Zarin. Oscar-nominee Gabourey Sibide will open the show by presenting the Youth Pride Chorus — a choir of gay and lesbian teens from NYC. Corey Craig will be the guest DJ during the VIP celebrity after-party.

As previously announced, the Los Angeles GLAAD ceremony will be held on April 17, hosted by Wilson Cruz and Candis Cayne, with Drew Barrymore and Wanda Sykes receiving Special Honors. Emmy winner Bruce Vilanch is set to host the San Francisco ceremony on June 5.

Tickets start at $350. For more information, visit www.glaad.org.
