Jayne Houdyshell will join the previously announced Didi Conn, Fran Drescher, and Natasha Lyonne in Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron’s Love, Loss, and What I Wore, now playing through May 30 at the Westside Theatre.

Current cast member Carol Kane will stay with the production in March. She replaces Rosie O’Donnell, who performed as part of the opening cast and was to return to the show in March, but had to withdraw due to scheduling conflicts and family obligations.

Nora and Delia Ephron’s adaptation of Ilene Beckerman’s 1995 book about clothes and the memories they trigger is directed by Karen Carpenter, and features a series of five-person casts that will play in four-week cycles. The current cast (through February 28) includes Janeane Garofalo, Joanna Gleason, Kane, June Diane Raphael, and Caroline Rhea.

The design team includes Jo Winiarski (scenic design), Bobby Frederick Tilley II (costume design), Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Walter Trarbach (sound design), and Maria Verel (make-up design).

A portion of the production’s proceeds will benefit Dress for Success, a charity that provides work clothing and job support for low-income women. Audience members are invited to donate their gently-used purses and other accessories in the theatre lobby.
