Hal David to Offer February 22 Master Class at NYU

Oscar-winning songwriter Hal David will give a master class at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development on Monday, February 22 at 6:45pm in the Frederick Loewe Theatre.

During the class, David will discuss his compositional processes and career with lyricist and NYU Steinhardt songwriting faculty member, Phil Galdston.

David, who wrote with Burt Bacharach, received an Academy Award for the song “Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head,” and his many other hits include “Alfie,” “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again,” “Do You Know the Way to San Jose,” “Walk on By,” “What the World Needs Now is Love,” “I Say a Little Prayer,” “The Look of Love,” “To All The Girls I’ve Loved Before,” and “What’s New Pussy Cat.” He received a Tony nomination for Promises, Promises, which will be revived on Broadway later this season, and has also won multiple Grammy Awards.
