The show is written by Christopher Durang, Barry Humphries (aka Dame Edna) and Feinstein, and conceived by Feinstein and Humphries, with Lizzie Spender and Terrence Flannery.
Feinstein has previously played Broadway in Michael Feinstein in Concert, and two additional concerts subtitled Piano and Voice and Isn't It Romantic. He is a four-time Grammy nominee and received a special Drama Desk Award in 1988 for celebrating American musical theater songs.
Humphries has been performing for over 50 years, and has also starred in such shows as Dame Edna: Back with a Vengeance and Dame Edna: The Royal Tour, for which he won the Drama Desk award for Outstanding Solo Performance and received a Special Tony Award for Live Theatrical Presentation.
Butler's prior Broadway credits include Chicago and Raggedy Ann. Capeless will be making her Broadway debut, and is a Helen Hayes Award winner for Late Nite Catechism. Mateo previously appeared on Broadway in The Wedding Singer and Hot Feet.
