Evan Cabnet to Direct Elizabeth Meriwether’s Oliver! for stageFARM

Evan Cabnet will direct stageFARM’s world premiere production of Elizabeth Meriwether’s Oliver!, to run May 8-June 6 at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Casting will be announced at a later date.

The dark comedy focuses on an unlikely friendship between a late teenager and an older man and the secret that they share. Among Meriwether’s other plays are The Mistakes Madeline Made, also directed by Cabnet, and Heddatron.

Cabnet most recently directed Bekah Brunstetter’s Oorah! at Atlantic Stage 2. Among his other credits are The Gingerbread House, Shipwrecked! An Entertainment, and The Czar of Rock and Roll.

The creative team will include Lauren Helpern (scenic design), Ben Stanton (lighting design), Jessica Shay (costume design), and Zane Birdwell (sound design).
