Tony Award-winning composer Elton John and his partner David Furnish have joined the Broadway producing team of Geoffrey Nauffts’ Next Fall. Sheryl Kaller directs the production, which is scheduled to begin previews on February 16 at the Helen Hayes Theatre in anticipation of a March 11 opening.

Next Fall focuses on two gay men, with religious differences, over the course of their five-year romantic relationship. The production, which originated Off-Broadway last year, features Patrick Breen, Maddie Corman, Sean Dugan, Patrick Heusinger, Connie Ray, and Cotter Smith.

In addition to investing an unspecified amount in the production, it is expected that John and Furnish will lend their names to the show’s publicity and promotional materials.
Additional Broadway producers include Barbara Manocherian, Richard Willis, Tom Smedes, Carole L. Haber/Chase Mishkin Ostar, Anthony Barille, Michael Palitz, Bob Boyett, and Roy Furman, in association with Naked Angels. James Spry is an Associate Producer and Susan Mindell is the Executive Producer.
