Brian Bedford to Direct, Star in Roundabout Revival of The Importance of Being Earnest

The Roundabout Theatre Company will present a new production of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, co-starring and directed by Brian Bedford, in winter 2011 at the American Airlines Theatre This production will be a limited engagement. Additional cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.

Bedford will play the role of Lady Bracknell. He won the Tony Award for The School for Wives and received Tony nominations for Two Shakespearean Actors, Timon of Athens, Tartuffe, London Assurance and The Molière Comedies. He received Drama Desk Awards for his roles in The Misanthrope, Private Lives, and Jumpers.
