Pulitzer Prize nominee Joyce Carol Oates will participate in a March 12 panel discussion preceding Bill Connington’s solo show Zombie at the Gerald Lynch Theater at John Jay College. Thomas Caruso has directed the production, which runs March 10-13, and is being presented as part of the Art of Justice series.

First seen at the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival, the play — which is adapted from a Oates’ novella of the same name — is about a serial killer. In addition to Oates, the panel will include forensic psychologists and serial killer experts Dr. Louis Schlesinger, Dr. Katherine Ramsland, and Dr. Abby Stein. Following the performance, Oates will be on hand to autograph copies of Zombie as well as her latest novel.

In addition to the pre-performance panel, there will be post-performance talkbacks following the shows on March 10 and March 13. The creative team for Zombie includes Josh Zangen (sets), Joel E. Silver (lighting), and Deirdre Broderick (sound).
