A recording of Barbra Streisand's September 26, 2009 performance at the Village Vanguard will be released on DVD on May 4.

This rare, New York City performance celebrated the release of Streisand's new album of jazz standards and classics Love Is The Answer. On the CD, Streisand works with Grammy Award-winning jazz artist Diana Krall and her quartet, along with the Grammy-winning arranger Johnny Mandel, who worked with Streisand on her 1993 Back to Broadway CD. At the Village Vanguard performance, Streisand sang a selection of these songs.

Streisand appeared on Broadway in I Can Get It For You Wholesale and Funny Girl. Her films include Funny Girl, Funny Lady, Yentl, and Nuts. She has won the Oscar, Grammy, and Emmy Awards, a special Tony Award, and is a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honor.
