On that evening, seven local theater companies -- Naked Angels, Ma-Yi, Youngblood, The Fire Department, Electric Pear, Flux, and Partial Comfort -- will each premiere a new one act play that they've created over the past two weeks. Each play must include a prop that has been personally selected by actor William H. Macy, who is currently starring on Broadway in Speed-the-Plow. In addition to an audience favorite, a winning play will be selected by a panel of judges.
In addition to McCarthy, previously announced judges include actors Daniel Sunjata and John Slattery, playwrights David Auburn and Suzan-Lori Parks, casting director Marcia Debonis, and journalist David Cote.
Tickets to event are $15 for general admission and $75 for a VIP package. For more information, visit www.partialcomfort.org.
