South Pacific‘s Danny Burstein Receives Sardi’s Caricature

Two-time Tony nominee Danny Burstein was honored at Sardi’s on February 3 with his own caricature added to the walls of the famed theater district. The actor is currently appearing as Luther Billis in Lincoln Center’s Broadway revival of South Pacific, at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre.

Among those who attended the ceremony were his wife (and Broadway star) Rebecca Luker, South Pacific cast mates Kelli O’Hara, David Pittsinger, and Loretta Ables Sayre, Drowsy Chaperone‘s composer/lyricist Lisa Lambert and former Drowsy cast member Troy Britton Johnson.

Burstein received a Tony nomination and an Outer Critics Circle Award for his work in South Pacific. He received an additional Tony nomination for The Drowsy Chaperone, and his Broadway credits also include Saint Joan, The Seagull, Three Men on a Horse, A Little Hotel on the Side, The Flowering Peach, A Class Act, Titanic, and Company.
