Lisa Harrow, Floyd King, Sam Tsoutsouvas, et al. Set for Ion at Shakespeare Theatre Company

Casting has been announced for Shakespeare Theatre Company’s production of David Lan’s translation of Euripides’ Ion, to run March 10-April 12. Ethan McSweeny will direct.

In the play, a boy abandoned by his parents grows up as an orphan at Apollo’s temple. But when his mother appears in search of a prophecy, he must confront both his painful past and his unexpected destiny.

The cast will star Keith Eric Chappelle, Aubrey Deeker, Lisa Harrow, Tana Hicken, Floyd King, and Sam Tsoutsouvas, with Rebecca Baxter, Lise Bruneau, Kate Debelack, Colleen Delaney, Laiona Michelle, and Patricia Santomasso. The creative team will include Rachel Hauck (set), Rachel Myers (costumes), Tyler Micoleau (lighting), and Michael Roth (original music and soundscape).
