Florida’s Carbonell Award Nominations Are Announced

Nominations for the Carbonell Awards, which honor the best of South Florida theater, were announced today. The awards ceremony will take place on Monday, April 6 at 7:30pm in the Amaturo Theater of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

A total of 30 shows, produced by 16 companies, were nominated. Leading the pack were Gable Stage’s Adding Machine (11), Maltz Jupiter Theater’s The Full Monty (8), Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre’s 1776 (8), Mosaic Theatre Company’s The Seafarer (7), The Naked Stage’s 4.48 Psychosis (6), and Palm Beach Dramaworks’ The Chairs and Souvenir (6 each).
