Children’s Theatre Company Announces 2009-2010 Season

The Children’s Theatre Company has announced the production schedule for its 2009-2010 season, which will feature eight productions.

The season will open with the world premiere of Bert & Ernie, Goodnight! (September 8-October 25), a song-filled journey that starts when Bert wants to sleep and Ernie tries to help. Mayhem Poets (October 13-November 8) will bring Hip-hop rhythms and spoken word, and Cinderella (November 10-January 2) will ring in the new year. Patch Theatre will present its version of Pamela Allen’s Mr. McGee & The Biting Flea (January 12-February 21).

Gene Tagaban’s According to Coyote (February 9-21) will present the legendary trickster from Native American lore, and the world premiere of Iron Ring (March 9-April 10) will follow, Charles Way’s adaptation of the book by Lloyd Alexander. Disney’s Mulan Jr. (April 27-June 13) will present a musical celebration of honor and the fighting spirit, and the world premiere of The Biggest Little House in the Forest (April 27-June 13) will complete this season’s offerings, adapted by Rosanna Staffa from the book by Djemma Bider.
