Broadway Bears XII Raises Over $150,000 For Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS

Broadway Bears XII, the auction of specially made and autographed teddy bears held on Sunday, February 15, raised $152,116 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The event was hosted by Bryan Batt, with Lorna Kelly as guest auctioneer.

The top sellers of the evening were the bears for Monty Python’s Spamalot, autographed by Clay Aiken ($16,000); Equus, autographed by Daniel Radcliffe, Richard Griffiths, and Lorenzo Pisoni ($10,000), and Wicked, autographed by Kristen Chenoweth and Kendra Kassebaum ($7,000).

Among the stars who came to the event were Bernadette Peters, Christopher Sieber, Michael Cerveris, Kerry Butler, Kerry O’Malley, Loretta Ables Sayre, Ann Harada, Christine Pedi, and the boys of Billy Elliot, David Alvarez, Trent Kowalik, and Kiril Kulish.
