Arliss Howard, Ernie Hudson, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, et al. Set for Broadway Revival of Joe Turner’s Come and Gone

Full casting has been announced for the Broadway revival of August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, to be presented by Lincoln Center Theater at the Belasco, beginning previews March 19, with an opening set for April 16. Bartlett Sher will direct.

Part of Wilson’s 10-play Pittsburgh cycle, the work is set in the year 1911 and tells the story of a man who finds himself in an unusual Pittsburgh boarding house on a journey north. The show’s 1988 Broadway production earned six Tony Award nominations, including Best Play, and L. Scott Caldwell took home the Tony as Best Featured Actress.

The cast will include Marsha Stephanie Blake, Chad L. Coleman, Michael Cummings, Aunjanue Ellis, Danai Gurira, Andre Holland, Arliss Howard, Ernie Hudson, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Amari Rose Leigh, and Roger Robinson.

The creative team will include Michael Yeargan (set), Catherine Zuber (costumes), Brian MacDevitt (lighting), and Leon Rothenberg and Scott Lehrer (sound).
