Penelope Wilton and Margaret Tyzack Set for Donmar’s Chalk Garden

Penelope Wilton and Margaret Tyzack will star in Michael Grandage’s production of Enid Bangold’s The Chalk Garden, to play London’s Donmar Warehouse, June 5-August 2. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Wilton’s many theater credits include John Gabriel Borkman, The Little Foxes, A Kind of Alaska, and The House of Bernarda Alba. She was recently seen in the film version of The History Boys and Woody Allen’s Match Point. Tyzack is best known for appearing opposite Maggie Smith in Lettice and Lovage. Her many other theater credits include Southwark Fair, Tartuffe, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

The Donmar is currently presenting its award-winning production of Othello through February 23, followed by Arthur Miller’s The Man Who Had All the Luck (February 28-April 5) and Peter Gill’s Small Change (April 10-May 31).
