Full cast and creative team have been announced for The Actors Company Theatre’s production of Tennessee Williams The Eccentricities of a Nightingale, to run April 27-May 24 at the Clurman Theatre. The production, to be directed by Jenn Thompson, will open officially on May 5.

Written in 1951, but not seen in New York until it debuted on Broadway in 1976, the play is an early version of Williams’ 1947 play Summer and Smoke, about a Southern spinster who falls in love with her handsome neighbor.

The cast will feature Mary Bacon (Alma Winemiller) Todd Gearhart (John Buchanan), Larry Keith (Reverend Winemiller), Darrie Lawrence (Mrs. Buchanan), and Cynthia Darlow (Mrs. Basset), along with Nora Chester, Francesca Di Mauro, Greg McFadden, James Prendergast, and Scott Schafer.

The design team includes Bill Clarke (sets), David Toser (costumes), Lucrecia Briceno (lighting), Darryl Bornstein (sound), and Jonathan Faiman (original music).
