Runolfsson, White, et al. to Join New York Pops for Rodgers Celebration

Broadway stars Doug LaBrecque, Mark McVey, William Michals, Anne Runolfsson, and Lari White will join The New York Pops and guest conductor Marvin Hamlisch for a salute to composer Richard Rodgers on March 16 at Carnegie Hall.

The evening will opening the Juilliard Choral Union singing “The Sweetest Sounds” from No Strings, for which Rodgers wrote both music and lyrics. The remainder of the concert will include selections from the many musicals he wrote with both Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein II, including Spring is Here, The Boys From Syracuse, Babes in Arms, On Your Toes, Pal Joey, State Fair, Carousel, South Pacific, Oklahoma!, and The King and I.
