Deborah Voigt to Perform Benefit for New York Theatre Workshop

World renowned opera singer Deborah Voigt will perform A Voigt Valentine to benefit New York Theatre Workshop at 7pm on Monday, February 12 at the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center.

The show will feature Voigt singing Schubert art songs, Broadway show tunes, and works by Leonard Bernstein, among other selections.

Voigt has appeared in such operas as Salome, Tosca, and La Forza del Destino, and will star in the Metropolitan Opera’s upcoming production of Die Agypitsche Helena. She recently received the 2006 Opera News Award for Distinguished Achievement. Her many recordings include Wagner: Love Duets. Obsessions, and the recently released All My Heart.

Tickets to the benefit, which includes cocktails, light supper, and dessert along with the performance, are $475. They can be ordered by visiting www.nytw.org.
