Chalfant, Elg, Robins Set for Garbo’s Last Walk Reading

Kathleen Chalfant, Taina Elg, and Laila Robins will star in a staged reading of Garbo’s Next Walk, a new play by Kristof Bathory, at 7pm on Monday, March 5 at the Arthur Seelen Theatre at the Drama Book Shop (250 West 40th Street). The reading will be directed by Paul Mullins.

The play focuses on the last walk taken in New York City by the legendary screen actress Greta Garbo, who left a thriving career in Hollywood in the 1940s to move to New York City, where she spent the rest of her life as a virtual recluse.

Chalfant is currently starring Off-Broadway in Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell; her previous stage credits include Wit andAngels in America. Elg’s Broadway credits include revivals of Where’s Charley, Nine, and Cabaret. Robins’ Broadway credits include Heartbreak House, Frozen, and The Herbal Bed.
