Broadway veteran Becky Ann Baker will join the ABC daytime drama All My Children on March 28 in the role of Marje Luper, the mother of the soap opera’s controversial transgendered character Zarf/Zoe (played by stage favorite Jeffrey Carlson).

Baker’s Broadway credits include Assassins, A Streetcar Named Desire, Titanic, and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Her numerous Off-Broadway credits include Suddenly Last Summer, The House in Town, June Moon, Shanghai Moon, and The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told.
She is married to actor Dylan Baker.

All My Children debuted on ABC in 1970. Among the show’s current stars are stage veterans Susan Lucci, Eden Riegel, Jacob Young, David Canary, Michael E. Knight, Cameron Mathison, and Tonya Pinkins.
