Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance Set for NYC Book Signings

Married actors Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance will sign copies of their book Friends: A Love Story at the Barnes & Noble store at 555 Fifth Avenue at 5:30pm on Wednesday, February 28 and the Borders store in the Time Warner Center at 1pm on Thursday, March 1.

The book, written with Hilary Beard, is a dual biography in which the narrative switches frequently from one to the other. The couple’s love story is intertwined with tests of courage, tales of faith, and tributes to family.

Bassett’s stage credits include the Broadway production of Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, the New York Shakespeare Theatre Festival production of Macbeth, and the recent Pasadena Playhouse revival of Fences opposite Laurence Fishburne, her co-star in the film What’s Love Got to Do With It? for which they both received Oscar nominations. Vance’s stage credits include the Broadway production of Fences and the Lincoln Center Theater production of Six Degrees of Separation. The couple co-starred last year in the Guthrie Theatre’s production of The Front Page.
