Richard Brooks, Roger E. Mosley, Cynda Williams Head Cast of Hope Runs Eternal

Hope Runs Eternal, a new drama written by and starring Richard Brooks, will inaugurate the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, March 8-April 9. The production, to be directed by Donald Douglass, will officially open on March 11.

The cast will also feature TV and film stars Roderick Garr (3 Strikes), Roger E. Mosley (Magnum, P.I.), Victoria Platt Tilford (The Guiding Light), and Cynda Williams (One False Move). The show’s creative team include John Paul Luckenback (sets), Naila A. Sanders (costumes), Nerissa Williams (lighting), Tony Carr (sound design), and Anthony Williams (musical direction).

In this play with music, Brooks will play Raymond, a thirtysomething singer who hasn’t given up his dream of making it big in the music business. Brooks has previously been on stage in productions of Radio Golf, Police Boys, King Hedley II, and Drowning Crow. He is best known for his role as Paul Robinette on Law & Order, and his film credits include Shakedown, To Sleep With Anger, and The Substitute.
