Full Cast, Creative Team Set for Public’s Stuff Happens

Jeffrey DeMunn, Byron Jennings, Gloria Reuben, Jay O. Sanders, and Brenda Wehle will lead the cast of the Public Theater’s production of David Hare’s political drama Stuff Happens, which will begin performances on March 28. Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan will direct the production.

DeMunn will play former U.S. defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld; Jennings will play British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Reuben will play current Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Sanders will play President George W. Bush, and Wehle will play his wife Laura.

The remainder of the cast will feature George Bartenieff as Hans Blix and Jack Straw, Glenn Fleshler as George Tenet, Zach Grenier as Dick Cheney, Lameece Issaq as a Palestinian academic, Peter Francis James as Colin Powell, Ken Marks as David Manning and Michael Gerson, David Pittu as Paul Wolfowitz and Sir Richard Dearlove, Thomas Schall as Alastair Campbell and Jeremy Greenstock, Armand Schultz as Jonathan Powell and Robin Cook, Robert Sella as an angry journalist and Dominique De Villepin, and Waleed F. Zuaiter as an Iraqi exile and Trevor Mac.

The show’s creative team will include Riccardo Hernandez (set design), Jess Goldstein (costume design), Pat Collins (lighting design), and Dan Moses Schreier (sound design).
