2005 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award Winners Announced

The winners of the 2005 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards for theatrical costume design have been announced.

David Zinn, whose work includes tick, tick…BOOM! and many other theater and opera productions, will receive the Young Master Award; the esteemed costume tailor Vincent Zullo will receive the Artisan Award; Oliver Messel, Britain’s most celebrated theatrical designer in the 1930s, ’40s, and ’50s, will receive the Posthumous Award; and Florence Klotz (Follies, A Little Night Music, Pacific Overtures, Kiss of the Spider Woman, etc.) will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

In addition, Robert O’Hearn, who has earned an international reputation for his designs during his 50-year career, will be honored with the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Lifetime Achievement in Theatrical Design. The awards ceremony will be held on Friday, April 8 at the Hudson Theatre in Manhattan.
