The Theater Offensive of Boston Will Celebrate Its 15th Anniversary With "ClimACTS"

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel, Peter Paige from TV’s Queer As Folk, playwright and actor Charles Busch, and a number of other surprise guest stars from film and television will be present for “ClimACTS: A Bacchanalian Carnaval Gala”, a celebration of The Theater Offensive’s 15th anniversary to be held in Boston on Saturday, February 21.

Vogel and Busch will receive The Theater Offensive’s “Keep The Faith Award,” given annually to people who “inspire and challenge our communities to break through phony barriers between potent intellect and piercing emotion, between personal passion and political activism.”

The event will be held at the Boston Center for the Arts Cyclorama (539 Tremont Street) and will be hosted by Joan Parker and Richard D. Olson, Jr. Martinis will be provided by BuzzBoston and there will be food, dancing (by go-go girls and boys), a raffle, a live auction, and entertainment by True Colors.

MasterCard, Visa, and personal checks will be accepted during the event for all donations. Dinner and dessert are included; all guests must be 21 years of age or older. A VIP reception will be held at 7pm and the event proper will begin at 7:30. Allowing extra time for parking is recommended, and creative or festive attire is encouraged.
