CSC to Present Michael Torke and Kelli O’Hara in Concert

Classic Stage Company (CSC) will continue to celebrate its 35th season with a special benefit concert on Monday, February 24.

The concert will feature the work of composer Michael Torke, who composed the score for CSC’s current production of William Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale. Joining Torke in performing his established work and some new pieces will be Broadway performer Kelli O’Hara (Sweet Smell of Success, Follies).

Torke’s oeuvre includes a millennium symphony composition for Michael Eisner and the Walt Disney Company; the “Central Park Trilogy,” written with A. R. Gurney for Great Performances and the New York City Opera; and Javelin, commissioned by the Atlanta Committee for the Olympics and featured on the album Summon the Heroes.
