Wicked and In the Heights Star Mandy Gonzalez to Star in Reading of New Drama Love/Kill

The reading will take place at the Cherry Lane Theatre.

Former Broadway Elphaba Mandy Gonzalez will head the cast of Love/Kill, a new play by Joe Pintauro that will receive readings as part of Cherry Lane Theatre's TONGUES: A Reading Series. The readings, which are free and open to the public, will take place on the mainstage at the Cherry Lane on January 27 at 3pm and 7pm.

Joining Gonzalez in the cast are Angelina Fiordellisi, Alex Morgan, Denis Parlato, and Peter McRobbie. Valentina Fratti directs the new work, which follows Marianna and John, a couple who have survived the death of their son and must confront new obstacles when Marianna is diagnosed with cancer and John begins an affair with her younger friend.

Pintauro is the author of the plays Raft of the Medusa, Beside Herself, and The Dead Boy, among others.
