Tony Awards Administration Committee Has Decided on the Eligibility of 14 Broadway Shows

Among other rulings, Billy Crudup and Shuler Hensley will be considered eligible for their roles in both ”Waiting for Godot” and ”No Man’s Land”.

In a meeting today, the Tony Awards Administration Committee determined the eligibility of 14 Broadway productions for the 2014 Tony Awards. This was the second of four times that the committee will meet throughout the 2013-2014 season to decide the eligibility for the 68th Annual Tony Awards.

The committee made the following determinations regarding The Glass Menagerie, Twelfth Night, and more:

Celia Keenan-Bolger and Brian J. Smith will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actress/Actor in a Featured Role in a Play categories, respectively, for their performances in The Glass Menagerie.

Norbert Leo Butz will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical category for his performance in Big Fish.

Mary Bridget Davies will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical category for her performance in A Night With Janis Joplin.

Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Michael Cumpsty, and Alessandro Nivola will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actress/Actor in a Featured Role in a Play categories, respectively, for their performances in The Winslow Boy.

Sebastian Arcelus will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play category for his performance in A Time to Kill.

Mary-Louise Parker will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play category for her performance in The Snow Geese.

Samuel Barnett will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play category for his performance in Twelfth Night.

Mark Rylance will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play category for his performance in Richard III.

Anne-Marie Duff and Ethan Hawke will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actress/Actor in a Leading Role in a Play categories, respectively, for their performance in Macbeth.

Billy Crudup and Shuler Hensley will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play category for their performances in No Man's Land.

To clarify, any actor whose name is listed above the title is automatically considered for the leading acting categories. Actors listed below the title are automatically considered for placement in featured acting categories. Producers have two weeks from the date of opening night to petition the Tony Awards Administration Committee for actors to be placed in a different category.

The Tony Awards will take place Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Radio City Music Hall. The ceremony will be telecast live on CBS.
