"Say You'll Be There": Broadway Loves the Spice Girls Shakes It Uptown to 54 Below

Stars of ”Newsies”, ”Pippin”, ”Wicked”, and more bring girl power to Broadway night life.

Broadway fans can party like it's 1995 as stars of the Great White Way gather at 54 Below on January 13 to pay homage to the girl group that spiced up all of our adolescent lives. Following a sold-out run at the Canal Room, Broadway Loves the Spice Girls is packing up its trunk of girl-power tuners and traveling uptown to the Broadway supper club to perform some of Baby, Scary, Ginger, Posh, and Sporty's greatest hits.

Featuring new vocal arrangements by music director Benjamin Rauhala, the cast will perform a bill filled with chart-toppers (and '90s dance-party favorites) including "Wannabe," "Spice Up Your Life," "Stop," "2 Become 1," as well as a few numbers from the cult-hit film Spice World and samples from the girls' solo careers.

Broadway Loves the Spice Girls is produced by Shoshana Feinstein and directed by Kyle Fox. The cast includes a host of Broadway regulars including Ashley Kate Adams (La Cage aux Folles), Darren Bluestone (Avenue Q), Stefanie Brown (Wicked), Caitlyn Caughell (Newsies), Kennedy Caughell (American Idiot), Natalie Daradich (Wicked), Ariana DeBose (Motown), Hannah Elless (Somewhere in Time), Russell Fischer (Jersey Boys), Jason Gotay (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked), Ariana Groover (Bare), Sabrina Harper (Pippin), Liana Hunt (Newsies), Emma Hunton (Witness Uganda), Elizabeth Judd (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark), Janet Krupin (If/Then), Steffanie Leigh (Mary Poppins), Alice Lee (Bare), Kara Lindsay (Newsies), Synthia Link (Bullets Over Broadway), Julia Mattison (Godspell), Gabrielle McClinton (Pippin), Lesley McKinnell (Wicked), Emily McNamara (Gettin' the Band Back Together), Nic Rouleau (The Book of Mormon), Tess Soltau (Far From Heaven), Billy Tighe (Pippin), Stephanie Torns (Wicked), Stephanie Umoh (Ragtime), and Barrett Wilbert Weed (Bare).

The band will feature David Cinquegrana on guitar, Shannon Ford on drums, Gene Rauhala and John Perko on trumpets, Eric Schedin on trombone, Andrew Halchak on woodwinds, and music director Benjamin Rauhala on keyboards.
