Norbert Leo Butz Sings Wicked's "Defying Gravity" Just as Well as Idina Menzel

Seriously. Nobody in all of Oz is ever gonna bring you down after watching this.

By New York City

Ever wondered what it would be like if Fiyero got to sing "Defying Gravity" at the end of the first act in Wicked? Probably not, but if this video of the original Fiyero, two-time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz, singing the high-flying, even-higher-belting number is any indication, it would be pretty awesome. Butz sang the tune, made famous by his Tony-winning OBC colleague Idina Menzel, as part of his Memory & Mayhem, Unplugged concert at the Abbey Theatre in Orlando, Florida. Fortunately for those of us in the rest of the country and world, video of the performance has surfaced online, and we hope you'll revel in it as much as we are.
