Live From Lincoln Center has announced three wide-ranging, popular-song performances that will be broadcast this spring as part of its 39th season. Each of the programs, which will be broadcast on PBS, will celebrate the best in American singing and songwriting, from pop to folk music. Five-time Tony Award-winning performer Audra McDonald will host.

The season kicks off on March 28 with Patina Miller, winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in Pippin. Miller will sing a wide range of music, from classic R&B to Broadway favorites. The episode will be directed by Annette Jolles.

The season's additional offerings will include, on April 4, director and two-time Tony Award-winning actor and singer James Naughton, who will perform songs of singer and songwriter Randy Newman, including hits such as "I Think It's Going to Rain Today" and "Sail Away." Then, on April 11, Drive-By Truckers and The 400 Unit singer and songwriter Jason Isbell will perform personal Southern-style songs.
