Andrea Martin, Chuck Cooper, and More Join Lincoln Center Theater's Act One

The new Moss Hart bio-drama stars Santino Fontana and Tony Shalhoub.

Tony Award winners Andrea Martin and Chuck Cooper are among the actors who will join the previously announced Santino Fontana and Tony Shalhoub in the upcoming Broadway production of Act One at Lincoln Center Theater. Written and directed by James Lapine, the drama is adapted from the autobiography of playwright Moss Hart.

Martin will take on the dual roles of Hart's aunt Kate and Beatrice Kaufman, with Cooper playing several parts including Langston Hughes. Also joining the production are Bill Army, Will Brill, Laurel Casillo, Steven Kaplan, Will LeBow, Mimi Lieber, Charlotte Maier, Debra Offner, Matthew Saldivar, Bob Stillman, and Amy Warren. Matthew Schechter will play Moss Hart as a child, along with Fontana and Shalhoub as the playwright at various stages of his life.

Act One features scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Jane Greenwood, lighting design by Ken Billington, sound design by Dan Moses Schreier, and original music by Louis Rosen.

Previews for Act One will begin on March 20, with an official opening night at the Vivian Beaumont Theater set for April 17.
