Broadway veteran Martin Moran (
Spamalot) celebrated the opening of his new solo show,
All the Rage, on Tuesday, January 30 at the West Bank Café. Produced by piece by piece productions and Rising Phoenix Repertory, in association with The Barrow Group, the work is now running at the
Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Playwrights Horizons through February 24.
Directed by Seth Barrish, who also collaborated with Moran on his OBIE-winning one-man play, The Tricky Part, All the Rage follows Moran’s quest to make a difference in the world, while coming to terms with a teenage trauma.
Guests at the opening included Moran’s pals from the original Broadway cast of Titanic, Brian d’Arcy James, Michael Cerveris, and David Costabile; his partner, Henry Stram (also of Titanic); Spamalot co-star Marin Mazzie and her husband, Jason Danieley (Curtains); Kathryn Erbe (Law & Order: Criminal Intent); Jayne Houdyshell (Follies); Mary Testa and Julia Murney (Queen of the Mist); and Jennifer Cody (Urinetown) with her husband, Hunter Foster, who appeared in Moran’s one-act musical, Borrowed Dust.
