UniArt to Premiere Nic Ularu’s Hieronymus at La MaMa E.T.C.

Hieronymus, a new play written and directed by OBIE Award winner Nic Ularu, will receive its world premiere at La MaMa E.T.C.’s Club space, running January 20-29.

Hieronymus is a visual performance that recomposes the life and work of Hieronymus Bosch. Using elements of black theater, video projections and giant puppets, Hieronymus recreates Bosch’s grotesque and tragic imagination in a fantastic universe that incorporates the sacred, the profane, the symbol and the metaphor of his paintings.

The cast includes Park Bucker, Jen Burry, Richard Jennings, Paul Kaufman, Paul Kelly and Ryan Krause.

Hieronymus features set design by Heather Abraham, costumes by Lisa Martin Stuart, lighting by Aaron Pelzek, video by Simon Tarr and sound by Walter Clissen.
