On Tuesday, January 10, Paulo Szot debuted his solo show, An Evening with Paulo Szot, which will play the Cafe Carlyle through January 28.

The show, which is his third engagement at the Carlyle Hotel, features songs culled from the Great American Songbook, the worlds of Broadway and Jazz, as well as tunes from his native Brazil with musical direction by Billy Stritch, who accompanies Szot on the piano.

Opening night guests included Karen Akers, Jim Caruso, Jamie deRoy, Nancy Dussault, Christine Ebersole, Marilyn Maye, Liza Minnelli, Laura Osnes, Chita Rivera, Andrew Samonsky, and Tommy Tune.
