The Broadway production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, welcomed its new leads, who played their first performance on January 3. Glee star Darren Criss succeeds Daniel Radcliffe in the role of J. Pierrepont Finch for a limited engagement through January 22. Beau Bridges replaces John Laroquette in the role of J.B. Biggley, and will continue in the role beyond Criss’ engagement, playing opposite Nick Jonas beginning January 24.
Directed and choreographed by Rob Ashford, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, with a score by Frank Loesser and a book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock, and Willie Gilbert, follows a wily window washer on his riotous rise up the corporate ladder.
The cast also features Rose Hemingway as Rosemary Pilkington, Tammy Blanchard as Hedy La Rue, Christopher J. Hanke as Bud Frump, Rob Bartlett as Twimble/Wally Womper, Mary Faber as Smitty, Ellen Harvey as Miss Jones, Michael Park as Bert Bratt, and Anderson Cooper, making his Broadway debut, as the voice of the narrator.
