Nick Jonas Joins Roster of Special Guests for Drama League Gala Honoring Kristin Chenoweth

Pop star Nick Jonas, currently starring on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, will join the roster of special guests who will honor Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth at The Drama League’s 28th Annual Musical Celebration of Broadway. The event will take place at the Pierre Hotel on February 6 at 7pm.

The evening’s special all-star tribute will be directed by Evan Pappas, and feature a book by Stephen Cole and musical direction by Steve Freeman. It will include selections from Wicked, Glee, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Candide, Promises, Promises, Annie, The Music Man, Steel Pier, A New Brain, The Apple Tree, and more.

Guests will also include the previously reported Brent Barrett, Laura Benanti, Kevin Clash, David Elder, Eden Espinosa, Jason Graae, Joel Grey, Cheyenne Jackson, Andrew Lippa, Brad Oscar, Debra Monk, Donna Murphy, Marni Nixon, Elaine Paige, Carole Shelley, Marlo Thomas, Josh Young, as well as original and current cast members from the Broadway musical Wicked.

Also joining the special guests will be Colin Bradbury, Grasan Kingsberry, and announcer Bruce Barton, with a special performance by seven actors chosen from NYC’s youth acting programs and productions: Martine Bowman, Sofie Fusco, Analia Heredia, Petra Jevremov, Andie Mechanic, Rachel Resheff, and Carly Rose Sonenclar.

The benefit gala will raise funds for the education programs of The Drama League Directors Project.
