Mama, I Want To Sing: The Next Generation to Resume Performances on February 25

Mama, I Want To Sing: The Next Generation will resume performances at The Dempsey Theater beginning on Saturday, February 25.

Featuring book and lyrics by Vy Higginsen and director Ken Wydro, the piece has original music by Wesley Naylor, and tells the story of a talented young gospel singer who embraces secular music despite the strong objections of her mother.

In addition to Higgensen, the cast will include Bettina Pennon as Mama, Sandra Huff as Sister Carrie, Knoelle Higginson as Doris Winter, Tyrone Flowers as Reverend Winters, and Elijiah A. Lewis as Minister of Music.
