Larry Bryggman, Tim Hopper, Arliss Howard, Steve Rosen, et al. Set for CQ/CX
The Atlantic Theater Company has announced casting for the world premiere of Gabe McKinley’s CQ/CX. David Leveaux will direct the production, which will play Signature Theatre Company’s Peter Norton Space, January 25-March 4, with an opening on February 15.
Inspired by real events, the play concerns an up and coming black reporter at The New York Times who becomes the center of a plagiarism scandal.
The cast will include Larry Bryggman (Frank King), Peter Jay Fernandez (Gerald Haynes), Tim Hopper (Ben), Arliss Howard (Hal Martin), Kobi Libii (Jay Bennett), David Pittu (Junior), Steve Rosen (Jacob Sherman), and Sheila Tapia (Monica Soria).
The production will feature scenic design by David Rockwell, costume design by Jess Goldstein, lighting design by Ben Stanton, original music and sound design by David Van Tieghem and projection design by Peter Nigrini and C. Andrew Bauer.
