Julian Fleisher, Kacie Sheik, A.J. Shively Among Cast of February House Musical

Casting has been announced for the world premiere musical, February House, to debut at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut, February 15-March 18, and then play the Public Theater in New York City, May 8-June 10. Davis McCallum will direct.

Featuring music and lyrics by Gabriel Kahane and book by Seth Bockley, the show is based on a based on a literary biography written by Sherill Tippins, and centers on George Davis’ efforts to create his own utopia in a small house in Brooklyn Heights in the 1940s by bringing together some of the greatest and most colorful minds of a generation.

The cast will feature Stanley Bahorek (Benjamin Britten), Ken Barnett (Peter Pears), Ken Clark (Reeves McCullers), Julian Fleisher (George Davis), Stephanie Hayes (Erika Mann), Erik Lochtefeld (W.H. Auden), Kacie Sheik (Gypsy Rose Lee), A.J. Shively (Chester Kallman), and Kristen Sieh (Carson McCullers).

The creative team will include Riccardo Hernandez (sets), Jess Goldstein (costumes), Mark Barton (lights), Leon Rothenberg (sound), Andy Boroson (musical director), and Danny Mefford (choreographer).
