Geva Theatre Center Announces Cast for A Raisin in the Sun

Geva Theatre Center is set to continue their 2012 season with Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun, February 21-March 25 at the Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage. Robert O’Hara will direct.

In A Raisin in the Sun, the Younger family receives an insurance check for $10,000. Each family member has their own idea about how to use the money.

The cast will include Brian D. Coats (Bobo), Jessica Frances Dukes (Beneatha Younger), Perri Gaffney (Mrs. Johnson), Daphne Gaines (Ruth Younger), Keith Gallagher (Karl Linder), Lynda Gravátt (Lena Younger), Tyrien Obahnjoko (Joseph Asagai/George), and Bowman Wright (Walter Lee Younger, Jr.). In addition, Geva is planning to cast two local young people to share the role of Walter Lee and Ruth’s son Travis.

The design team will be comprised of Clint Ramos (scenic and costume design), Japhy Weideman (lighting design), and Lindsay Jones (sound design).
