Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls Film Will Be Released on DVD on February 8

Tyler Perry’s film For Colored Gilrs, which has been adapted from Ntozake Shange’s award-winning 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf,, will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on February 8.

The film features Anika Noni Rose, Whoopi Goldberg, Janet Jackson, Phylicia Rashad, Kerry Washington, Loretta Devine, Thandie Newton, and Kimberly Elise, among others.

The work focuses on stories of love, abandonment, domestic abuse, and other issues faced by black women.

Perry is well-known for his many plays, films, and television series, including Madea’s Happy Family, Meet the Browns, and Why Did I Get Married Too.
